| Hi guys, As a long-time AS player (years before on the german servers), I'm probably interested in joining one of the bigger alliances, Infinity seems to be a huge one for sure:) My airline: http://croydon.airlinesim.aero/app/info/enterprise/id/11704.5 - Spirit of Taiwan, the only one in Taiwan, I'm sure there are no problems with fleet age, routes etc. My holding Spirit of Asia is doing Cargo Business, and I've just launched Spirit of Cambodia. This could of course make problems for Asian Wings, but we will find a solution I'm sure. Question: the only bad thing in alliances is the Interlining section. Please, if you could inform me, which of my current ILs could effect Infinity, which is bad for the alliance or can I keep them all? THANKS Chris | |

| Hey there, thankyou for your application!
Over the next few days our members will discuss your application, during which time it is more than likely some members will have questions for you (pretty sure our Asian members will) so if you can check back here regularly it will help speed the process up.
As for your question, we have a pretty strict IL policy here at Infinity. We have a total boycott on all BIRDS alliance airlines as well as the YT JET group. We also have a ban on IL contracts with airlines that are in the same country/region as our airlines. If im honest theres probably a lot of your current ILs that would have to be cut should your application be successful.
Il set up a poll and discussion thread but it might take a few days like I say before a decision is reached, just so everyone can have their say.
Regards

| First question: Could you elaborate on your future plans with the airline? Are you planning perhaps some changes (routes, aircraft, etc)? - chrisb37 wrote:

Which of course means that if our members will vote positive for you, You'll get ILs with largest alliance on Croydon and many of the largest airlines. So it won't be the case that you loose many IL, it'll be rather a shift of IL. Regards, Anna from Aero Oka

....pretty sure our Asian members will........ Yes we will. I think due to the fact that our Main hubs aren´t that far away we will have to discuss your plans concerning your asian expansion. Don´t misunderstand me , im not against new asian members and i don´t see problems which can´t be solved ( we had a former alliance member based in PEK and it worked out very well. I see some oportunities in a possible cooperation but only if it is okay for you to accept our IL policy. This would be mandatory. But if that is okay for you everything would be possible ( at least from my point of view). Everything i would need from you is a cooperation on our shared routes (ICN-TPE etc.) like same price and service setting so we bothn get our part of the cake

Sure, that's alright We're also checking what you would offer the alliance. - HunAir wrote:
- The IL regulation at Infinity is quite strict (as I thought), it would probably causes me problems if I'll loose one of my ILs with the mentioned alliances (YJet, BIRDS). I think it's a little bit too late for me to make a completely change because I startet alreday in one direction. Situated in Taiwan, my main markets are of course China, Japan and South Asia.
I don't think losing IL with BIRDS and receiving our IL will cause you problems. Look at the alliance stats at the statistics and you'll find our Alliance is biggest in East Asia, North America and Europe (the markets most important for you). Honestly, if you think you'll run into problems, show us for example what Sky America offers you which Fly By Air can't offer you, or what Doha Airlines or Sky Qatar can offer you what Khaled Airlines can't offer you. I'm not trying to change your opinion whatsoever but just trying to show you there are very few IL (if any please show us) which are problematic to drop. - Quote :
- Question for AeroOka: My future plans? What ideas have you got (Infinity) if a taiwanese airline joins?
I'd say more flights to Taiwan from most hubs we have, coordinated transfer possibilities, strategic cooperation to fight competition, a large know-how sharing center and very active members. - Quote :
- Is it possible just to have ILs to you without the alliance? I think YellowCab rejected once however it was a while ago.
I don't think this would be attractive for us, but it remotely might be possible with some airlines.

| I would point out that I could increase my service to TPE (maybe a cargo flight or two as well) which is easy once I have the feed. If you need proof look at my extensive Pacific route network from ICN, GMP, and other Korean destinations or my extensive service in Japan. | |

Well, most of the BIRDS members can be dropped, but YJet China can't be replaced, there is no airline there in China. Also remember, changing ILs means changin pax-traffic - hopefully with positive effects:)

Well, there's me (China Central A&A) but as I just mentioned in the internal it's only really a 'presence' at Shanghai at the moment so not much of a consolation prize. I have about $80m sitting around waiting for the free time to do anything with it, which I'm unfortunately not going to have for about two weeks yet, so it could about double in size overnight, but it's still not going to be YTC scale for a while, if ever. I guess it depends on what you're after out of China exactly - direct traffic has been kinda limited in my experience so I guess broad is preferable to deep in some ways. Can't promise I'll get back to you quick this week or next if you have any questions but will try to be around.

| Hi guys,
sorry, I was away a few days because of business reasons... Well, I thought about the alliance and I've made a decision: I won't join now. I'll wait and see how things are improving and will come back later. We could live and exist without each other till now, it will work also in future.
Thanks anyway!
