Hi,
i've been operating in Japan for a few months now and have managed to grow the airline to be twice as large as my next competitor. I've primarily done this with older, used aircraft (mad dogs and B737 classics) though have started to transition to a newer fleet.
I've IL with some members, and Rich$ kindly suggested i post here to apply. In short my proposition is to:
- bring in JIAir, the largest carrier in Japan with dominance of Nagoya, leading ariline at KIX, ITM, FUK and CTS and rapidly closing in on the leader at HND.
- bring in Ryukyu Island Air, largest carrier in the islands and at OKA
- bring in Milly-on-Air, largest carrier at NRT and looking to become dominant.
The situation of so many hubs may seem like a bit of careless planning, but has allowed me to have a good hold of all the key Japanese airports. This means i feel i can offer the most to the alliance as you can connect through any/all of these points, and can rest assured that between all the three airlines we serve every airport in Japan - even 1 bar airports.
I have to be honest and say i would be looking for somethings in return - to IL with members being the prime motive. I would not expect exclusivity, but would want that any IL with Nihon and Nippon Star (2 and 3 in Japan) be terminated. I'm happy for some of the smaller airlines to IL with people, but would seek to cement my position as no1 Japanese airline, to the benefit of Alliance members. I would of course cancel IL with any alliance competitors as the quid pro quo.
I have been AAA rating since inception and continue to grow organically (with one or two choice acquisitions of domestic competitors possible). I really think i can fill a big hole in the alliance coverage. I offer exceptional service on-board, albeit from a somewhat battered fleet. I guess that was the best way to grow quick, as aircraft can be replaced, slots and control of airports is much harder to come by.
I look forward to hearing on any decision.
Thanks, best wishes to you all regardless of outcome.
