Application for KIWI FLYER Empty
PostSubject: Application for KIWI FLYER   Application for KIWI FLYER EmptyMon Jan 25, 2010 9:14 pm

Hello folks,

my name is zwirnie and this is my application for my enterprise KIWI FLYER.

KIWI FLYER was established in early November 09 and was the first company to be based in New Zealand. To this day we have always been the largest company in New Zealand, and we are still gaining marketshares in NZ - currently 44% in passengers (per week) and over 50% in cargo (per week). Very recently we started to venture a bit into the cargo business, mainly on domestic routes.

OUR GOAL
Setting up an airline in New Zealand is not easy due to the location of the country. From the beginning it was our goal not to become big as fast as possible. We set ourselves the goal to provide realistic services and fly to reasonable destinations. That is why we service many airports in New Zealand no other airlines flies to and that is why we have some small airplanes in our fleet that may seem an unusual choice. Just think of us as the AS equivalant to the real life 'Air NewZealand', who manages it to be voted one of the top international airlines year after year; despite the hardship of setting up a business in New Zealand. We are also NOT committed to enter into the price war that has began on some routes in our area, e.g. the AKL-SYD route where some airlines are flying with prices way under the default prices. We are not a low-cost airline, and we never will be.

DESTINATIONS
KIWI FLYER services all important and relevant airports in New Zealand, multiple times daily. We are currently restructuring our fleet for the domestic routenet to accommodate the increased passenger volume since we started to fly internationally. Since the start we service all major destinations in Australia (SYD, BNE, MEL, ADL, PER and CNS) from Auckland, and the bigger cities from Wellington and Christchurch too. We also fly to major destinations in the Pacific Island region (Tonga, Vanuatu and Fiji).
Outside of the Oceanic Area we fly to several destinations in the United States (LAX, SFO, SEA and HNL), Canada (YVR) and Mexico (MEX). In Asia, we fly to Singapore (SIN) and Thailand (BKK).

FLEET
Our long haul flights are being carried out by Airbus A340-500's, the cross-tasman flights are done by A320's and A318's. Domestic routes are serviced by either A318's (between the three biggest cities) and Bombardiers CRJ 900's or Bombardiers Dash8's. Altogether we have leased 36 planes.
As of last week, we also use an ATR 72-500F for our cargo routes, we may order a significant amout of those if the cargo business proves to be valuable for our company.

FINANCES
Our company is very successful, last week we reached a 45% margin, the week before 47%, despite restructuring out fleet. We have no liabilities, and we are - currently - not listed on the stock market, though we have tried to get an IPO running.

FUTURE PLANS
Future plans involve mainly setting up new routes (HKG, NRT and CPT are high on our priority list) and getting our fleet harmonized.

CURRENT COMMITMENTS
We have several interlining agreements with companies from different continents.
* AERO AZTEC (ZTC / Mexico City)
* Australian International (AI / Melbourne Tullamarine)
* Bucks International Airlines (BUC / Seattle/Tacoma)
* Canadian National Airlines (CP / Calgary)
* JetAsia Airways (8K / Manila)
* Litschi Airlines (D9 / Hong Kong International)
* Singapore Air Service Nuber (SAS / Singapur Changi)
* Texas Wings (TXW / Houston Intercontinental)
With Australian International we have an exclusive deal due to the fact that he services every airport we fly to with multiple departures daily.

SOLAIR alliance
Currently, KIWI FLYER is a member of the SOLAIR alliance. We were one of the four airlines that founded the alliance. Lately though, things within the alliance have developed in a different way than I anticipated. Therefore I am looking for a new alliance to be part of. I was quite proud of setting up a new alliance and working for it, and I'd be more than happy to bring the same commitment to the Infinity alliance. So far I have not published my intentions of leaving the alliance to the other members.

I am a very active player, inside AS and in our alliance. I am 27 years old, full-times student and located in New Zealand. I'm not a native English speaker, so please excuse the occasional error. If you have any questions regarding my application or otherwise, feel free to ask.

Thanks for your consideration,
zwirnie

Dear zwirnie,

The members of Infinity Alliance solidly voted in favour of accepting your application. From now on, your airline, Kiwi Flyer is a full-right member of the alliance. Please read our Regulation (http://chesterli.bol.ucla.edu/infinityrules.pdf), and open a topic for your airline in the Croydon > Member news section.

Important to notice:

To run the alliance efficiently we need our members to be active on the forum. If you cannot visit the forum for a longer period, please notify us in advance in our absence thread.

Well, there's nothing else left, so:

Welcome on board!

Best regards

Oh! And - though I'm sure it's needless to say -, we would like to ask you, to cut all ties with Solair members, and the alliance itself (including the removal of Kiwi Flyer from the wikipage).

Oh! #2: Please post your small and big logo (if avialable) in the Logo related stuff thread, to enable me to add the Infinity logo to them.
